Laying of foundation stone for the new church building was done by His grace Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, Metropolitan of Bombay Diocese and the President of National Council of Churches in India, on 2nd November 2001 in the gracious presence of the Most ReverendDr. George Carey, Archbishop of Canterburyand Bishop of Cyprus & Gulf Rt. Rev. Clive Handford. H.E. Abdulnabi Al Shoala,Minister of Labour & Social Affairs, Kingdomof Bahrain and Ambassadors of India, United Kingdom and Phillippines also attendedthe function.
