St. Joseph Orthodox Fellowship (SJOF)

St. Joseph Orthodox Fellowship (SJOF) is the senior citizens’ forum of the Malankara Orthodox Church, dedicated to members aged 60 and above. The fellowship seeks to strengthen, encourage, empower, and nurture the senior members of the Church. It also aims to promote fellowship and well-being among its members, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie, belonging, and spiritual support within the community.

SJOF is committed to enhancing the spiritual lives of its members through three guiding pillars:
- Prayer: Be an example of reliance on God by transforming leisure time into moments of selfless prayer.
- Fellowship: Experience the joy and hope that come from living in true Christian community.
- Guidance: Inspire and guide the younger generation through a life rooted in faith and values.
Activities
Members of SJOF gather regularly for Charity work and social service initiatives, Fellowship and Bible study with Intercessory prayer and experience sharing
They also actively contribute to various services of the parish, embodying the spirit of service and unity within the Church. SJOF strives to foster the spiritual unity of senior members and to encourage meaningful reading and reflection among them.
Eligibility
All male and female members of the Church who are 60 years and above are welcome to join.
Meeting Schedule
The SJOF unit of the Cathedral meets monthly on the last Wednesday after the Holy Qurbana.
