His Highness Sh. Isa Bin Sulman Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain, graciously gave us a plot of 60 X 30 in the heart of Sulmaniya for building our church.

The Honorary General body decided an estimate of BD. 4000/- for the church building. A committee of 23 people with the vicar as president, Mr. T. E Joseph-trustee and Mr. N.M Mathews and Mr. M. Alexander as conveners.

Foundation stone was laid on September 19th by K. K Punnose Achen in the presence of a big gathering of the Christian denominations in Bahrain.

King Solomonbegan the construction of the temple in the second month of the fourth year that he was king. It was in Jerusalem on mount Moria where the Lord appearedto David, the place which Araunah the jebusite had used as a threshing place. 2 Chr. 3:1-2.

Rev. Fr. K. K Punnose was selected by God as the Solomon of Bahrain to build His church. Achen laboured physically and mentally to complete the building along with building committee and members.
